Sancerre
SANCERRE Blanc is a bone dry, highly aromatic wine with intense flavors of peaches and gooseberries. The wine is made from the Sauvignon grape in very close geographic proximity to Pouilly-Fumé, and it is in fact quite difficult to distinguish between the two in blind tastings.
Sancerre Rouge is light to medium bodied with floral aromas and delicate flavors.
PAIRS WITH salad greens and acidic ingredients like capers, tomatoes, and vinaigrettes. Sautéed white fish, oysters, smoked salmon, and lighter foods flavored with fresh herbs all work well with the Sauvignon Blanc grape
