Montepulciano
MONTEPULCIANO is a red grape variety grown widely in central Italy. It is appreciated for itsconcentrated fruityt flavors, strong color, and gentle tannins. Montepulciano wines are typically best consumed in their youth and with food. Although sometimes used on its own, it also responds well to blending with other varieties– most successfully Sangiovese.
PAIRS WITH lighter meats such as pork and veal, as well as more flavorful vegetarian items, such as roasted or stewed vegetables.
