Lamb: Italian Options

The rich flavor of lamb needs a wine high in acid or tannins to cleanse the palate.

We suggest a glass of Nebbiolo to share the sweetness of the lamb and along with the acids create a marriage in your mouth that has no plans for divorce!

Nebbiolo comes to market under a few different names as well including Barolo and Barbaresco.

All of these wines tend to lean toward a bouquet of violet, smoke and rose like perfumes with flavors of truffles, fennel, licorice and tar.

Nebiolo is traditionally the lightest of the three but it is never a light wine. Barbaresco is the middle-weight, Barolo is the big gun of the family.
