Chicken: Fried Chicken

Fried chicken is a very heavy dish which will respond best to a counterpoint of a lean Sauvignon Blanc to help cleanse the palate and refresh the diner to get them ready for the next bite.​

A Chardonnay would also work well but might not be quite as refreshing. For something light, simple, and slightly sparkling for a hot summer night try a Vinho Verde.
