Beaujolais

BEAUJOLAIS is a light, fruity red, typically drunk young. Beaujolais Nouveau is an especially light variant released on the third Thursday of November the year of the harvest. Beaujolais Villages is a Beaujolais made from grapes from a more restricted area and usually has greater concentration.

Beaujolais tends to be light, high in acid, low in tannin, refreshing, with aromas anf flavors of strawberry.

Beaujolais is best served slightly chilled.
PAIRS WITH fuller-bodied fish (halibut, salmon, etc.), chicken, and pasta with cheese.
